Like: A series, a movie, a game
A character with a simple design that is easy to animate and a distinct, short name like "Galo." It could a webcomic series of 20 pages where the plot follows him after he's been kicked out of his apartment.
He needs to make money and takes on many different jobs, hoping to make enough to get back to his apartment. There's a conflict and a goal for the character.
What helps is deciding the beginning and end first, which makes the middle easier to write.
For example, the story could end with him getting the money after defeating a slime monster, and then people make him the mayor! And he gets a big Castle!
It’s also good when the character experiences personal growth. He could start out as a lazy character, and through a series of actions, that change him, he becomes much more motivated to do things.
